B’NAI MITZVAH-VAV SHABBAT MORNING FAMILY
CLASSES
B'nai Mitzvah and Vav classes meet monthly for family classes,
meaning each student should be accompanied by at least one
parent. Shabbat mornings, 9-10am, followed by services 10-
11am. Attendance is expected for these kids, so mark your
calendars now for the year to prevent scheduling conflicts!
September 20, October 18, November 15, December 13,
January 10, February 7, March 14, April 25, May 30.
Our exciting new Sunday morning Jewish Arts program for little
kids features various artists instructing the kinder in a variety
of crafts. For pre-school, kindergarteners and first graders
(Aleph Class), and Bet/Gimmel students are welcome to
participate as well. (Note: students must be registered in
Hebrew School!).
First meeting is September 21, 9:30-11am.
Future meetings are: October 19, November 23, December
21, January 11, February 8, March 15, April 19, May 17,
June 7.
SERVICE!
These services are not instead of regular services, they are in
addition, and will take place in the community center while
adult services meet in the old shul. These services,
coordinated by Robin Torres, are for students in grades
Gimmel (3) through the B'nai Mitzvah class- not for younger
kids! Due to some scheduling irregularities. Attendance is
expected for these kids, so mark your calendars now for the
year to prevent scheduling conflicts!
October 24, November 21, December 19, January 23,
February 27, March 27, April 24, May 22. All services meet at
7:30pm, so drop the kids off and come over to the shul.
First meeting of the year for the C.H.O.S.E.N. discussion group
will be a pizza dinner and dessert meeting. Monday, September
22, 6:30-8pm. All teenagers are welcome! This is but one of the
many teen events planned, and will be held monthly in our
community center. Note to last year's B'nai Mitzvah class: you
are all invited to attend these meetings even if your Bar/Bat
Mitzvah has not yet occurred!
Children's services are almost always held on the first Friday
evening of each month: September 5, October 3, November 7,
December 5, January 9 (second Friday) February 6, March 6,
April 3, May 1, and June 12 (second Friday).
We begin these services a half hour earlier than other services:
7pm. Please read this note to parents: at any and all services,
our congregation loves to see children. And hear them! It is
when they begin to run around or make too much noise that
parents must take a hand, and bring them outside the
sanctuary. Children should sit near their parents.
