CROP  WALK

Through our Tikkun Olam committee, we are once again participating in the annual New Paltz
CROP walk to fight hunger.  Please join other faith groups in our area along with friends, family
and neighbors in a fun and effective way to raise funds for local and international relief efforts.
Last year, we helped raise @ $12,000 This is a
wonderful way to involve your whole family in an activity that directly benefits those in need.

Date:  October 19
Time: 1:30 registration  2:00 walk begins
Walk Route:  A gentle 5 mile round trip walk on the rail trail to Springtown Bridge.  Refreshments
offered at the bridge.  Starts at Parking Lot 18 SUNY (corner of Route 32 and Plattekill Ave).
There will be some local musicians playing for us as part of the "kick-off."

After September 10th, you may call or email Ellen Butowsky 255-3316
ellenbutowsky@hvc.rr.com to walk in the event.
You will receive an envelope to gather pledges for your participation in the walk.  Children under
18 may walk (and also receive hours toward community service). They will need a parent or
guardian to sign the consent form on the pledge
envelope.
OR
b) Pledge money to support the walkers from our congregation.  Call Ellen if you would like to
pledge money. No amount too small or great for this worthy cause!
This is a great way for the B'nai Mitzvah and Vav class students to earn some community
service hours!  We look forward to seeing you on walk day, or hearing from you if you call to
pledge money.
THANK YOU.
